Josh was outstanding! He fixed my gas fireplace quickly and found wires that were incorrectly connected plus had painters tape on wires instead of electrical tape from our prior contractor we have used in the past. That could have caused a fire! I’m so thankful for choosing Heat & Sweep and for Josh and his exceptional knowledge and fantastic service!!!

I called Heat & Sweep because I was having a problem, my fireplace pilot light would not stay on. I spoke to Alex on the phone and he suggested a fix that I can try at home before scheduling a service call. I did what he suggested and it fixed the problem. Obviously I was very happy. I would definitely call Heat & Sweep in the future whenever I have a problem with my fireplace.

Can I give 6-stars!!I called Brent just as they opened at 10am one day and explained I was having a problem with my non-functioning home fireplace. We were closing on the sale in a couple of days and I needed it fixed ASAP. By 12:15pm, Josh had fixed the fireplace. Both Brent & Josh were knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Thanks Guys!!!

We worked with heat & sweep to demo our old fireplace and install a new linear gas insert with framing for a TV. This was not a job for the faint of heart— our old fireplace was made of giant boulders. Every person we interacted with through the process was professional, helpful, and responsive. Brent was great to work with on our quote. We also worked directly with the owner, Alex, on many of the install details. Communication is so important when you are making a big investment, and they did a fantastic job. Sean and the install crew were meticulous and timely. We haven’t finished our whole renovation project yet, but I’ll be sure to update the photos when we are done!Edit: The job is done! We are looking forward to some chilly weather so we can enjoy the warmth of our Mendota fireplace!
From the beginning to the end, the customer service I was given was excellent! It was a pleasure working with Jason who took the time to show us our options (which I had no idea there were so many). It was nice to have that warm feeling about someone who cared. Then we had the pleasure working with Alex who came out to finalized the project. Alex made some suggestions that we didn’t think of which I am so glad he did. Alex placed the order for our new unit and within 3 weeks we had installation day! Shawn brought his crew out to install our new fireplace unit. Shawn was extremely professional and easy to work with. We would receive a text message with ETA at the beginning of each day which was nice since we had two dogs to work with. Shawn communicated with us throughout the whole project which was nice. Once the installation was completed, Shawn took the time to show me how to use the controller which was very nice. Everyone at Heat & Sweep was a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't waste your time looking anywhere else. You won’t regret the excellent customer service you will get from this company and crew. I can’t wait to enjoy our new fireplace!
I had birds try to build a nest on my chimney cap and one came down my chimney. Submitted an online appointment to have them check for a nest and clean the chimney/fireplace. Before they even opened Jason had an appointment available. Corey came out checked everything. Did an awesome job cleaning my fireplace! I am very impressed with the quality of the work and their promptness to the service I needed. I will use them again for maintenance! Thank you for great service!

They were efficient , clean and went above my expectations. The part needed to repair my fireplace wasn’t on the truck and they called the office and someone drove it out so they could finish the job in one visit. I will be using them going forward. 👍👍

Corey was great, and in an hour or so made the gas insert fireplace look and work better than I’ve seen since buying our house. We recently had our grill converted to gas. They were great!! However, we ran into an issue. Grill only 2.5 yrs old, kitchenaid. Kitchenaid quit making grills and has been zero help helping us find or telling us size of orifices we need to complete conversion. We called Heat & Sweep to see if they could help guide us. Nancy was the most knowledgeable, helpful person! Between her and Alex, the sent us a chart so we know what we need. We can't thank them enough!!!! Highly recommend. Thanks Heat n Sweep!!

From start to finish this was a great experience for buying a gas insert and fireplace door for our home. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and patient and helped us pick out a great log set and door. Further, our installer Josh went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up correctly and safely. Josh was friendly, didn’t mind me asking a bunch of questions as he worked, and did a fantastic job with the install. Overall I would recommend Heat and Sweep to anyone looking for anything fireplace related.
Alex, Sean and their team did an AMAZING job! Check out the transformation pics below. We purchased a 1990's house with a bizarro tube and old builder's box fireplace, which didn't work. They tore it all out, created a built-in for our TV, and gave us the Vermont Castings stove that my wife and I had been dreaming about since we first met 19 years ago! Alex showed strong integrity and persevered through a few big challenges: this was the first (and last) red stove he will ever do, because the company does not supply the red pipe anymore and painting the piping was the worst; they also faced a problem with a new outside contractor for one phase of the job who didn't perform well. They made it right, and we trusted Alex through it all. We just turned on our stove in perfect timing for the fall and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Alex, Sean and everyone at Heat n Sweep!
Outstanding experience buying and installing new gas logs. Replaced a very old set with brand new white birch logs. From start to finish, great customer service. In-store, Alex was able to go over all of our questions and assisted us with selecting a new set. Installer Cory was professional, friendly, on-time, and took extra care of my home (mats laid down, took shoes off each time he walked in and out of the home). The pictures speak for themselves! I’ll be back to buy a grill this spring. Thank you!

Amazing place. Good selection of gas logs sets and accessories and tons of doors to choose from! Good, honest people and fair pricing. I have been in here multiple times in the last couple weeks (so much so, that I may as well get a job here 😅) asking a number of questions, and Alex was extremely patient and helpful in answering them all. I finally ordered my new gas logs the other day and can't wait for them to come in. These guys definitely have a new customer for life!I'll be needing to get a chimney cap installed, and sometime next year I'm looking to install a new gas log set in my basement fireplace-- you know this the place I'll be coming! These guys are awesome. I had a Louisiana Championship Grill and I was not sure if anyone would be able to repair my pellet smoker. Reason being, due to an internal fire, I thought I may have lost my favorite girl/grill for ever. These guys quickly repaired my grill, put on new coaster wheels, repaired my handles, and gave her a fresh coat of paint. These guys charged me a fraction of what I thought it would cost. Their tech wasn’t very knowledgeable and their prices are the highest in the area, The expensive repair job lasted only a week and we were back to square 1. Frustrating!

Can't even begin to express my gratitude in working with Alex! I made a post in our community Facebook page looking for a company to come service our gas fireplace. Not only was Heat & Sweep recommended, but Alex a manager commented providing their service fee information and offering his help since they're extremely backed up currently due to the season. So I sent over an email with pictures and we spoke a few times on the phone and he was able to thoroughly explain how to take apart my fireplace and where to clean certain things. It ended up being the smallest of spider webs preventing the entire main burner from lighting. I kept reading about that online but had no idea where to even get started or know what to figure out. Not only did he save me the wait for a service appt and the cost associated with it out repairs but he went out of his way to call me on his way home after getting off late due to a very busy day to ensure i was taken care of. I am so grateful and highly highly recommend this company!!! Should we ever need service again I know exactly who I'm going to call! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Couldn't be happier with Heat & Sweep, which has been a local business for a very long time. We visited the store Sunday pretty clueless about what we needed to get our gas fireplace working again. Alex came to take measurements today and was able to troubleshoot the issue while here. I loved the fact that he rolled up his sleeves and was willing to help. He was patient, very knowledgeable and kind. As a result, we are spending less than we anticipated to fix the problem and I LOVE the door that Alex helped me select. We went from "clueless" to "clued in"--at least in terms of the best company to handle all of our fireplace needs. A big thank you to Heat & Sweep...it's great to know that some businesses still care enough to truly serve their customers!

Great store! The owner is very knowlegeable and gave my husband advice for installation. (I stopped at another store on Ford Rd, and service was very poor-so I walked out.) We are very happy with our new fireplace and have used it almost every day this winter!
Great information provided in the store. Took time to explain answer questions. Instillation was smooth, clean up was perfect. Will gave me a tutorial on using the fireplace insert plus suggestions on balancing the heat in the rest of my home. Set up the annual maintenance visit too. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the fireplace and the service.
Amazing service! We bought a unit and had it installed 6 years ago. This year we were trying to sell our house. A shady company tried to come in and scam us for money to "fix" the problems. Heat'n Sweep sent someone right out to inspect the unit and put our buyer's minds at ease (as well as ours). They did this without hesitation, or charging us. While they were here they also performed a sweep of the chimney, cleaned our unit, and did it all for a price cheaper than anywhere around. You just don't see this type of customer service anymore. Dean, Alex and Will are class acts.
